Cheryl Mitchell of the Midland Institute presented to the School Board regarding the benefits of implementing a CEO Program for our students. CEO is a program for high school seniors, which teaches entrepreneurship – how to start and run a business. For basic information on CEO, watch this 2 minute video: http://www.midlandinstitute.com/. Blue Ridge is working with the schools in Clinton, Argenta-Oreana, and Warrensburg-Latham to develop a cooperative program. CEO is designed to be organized and run through a community based organization that is separate from the schools. We are looking for 1 or 2 motivated community members from Blue Ridge to serve on the CEO Steering Committee. If you are interested in working to implement this program for our students, contact Mrs. Wilson at 309-928-9141 or [email protected].
