Lance Albertson, 29, of Claremont, passed away Saturday night, Nov. 3, 2001 at the residence of his stepfather in West Salem, Ill.

His funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7 at the Ingram Funeral Home in West Salem. Burial was in the Marion Cemetery, rural West Salem.

Lance was born June 17, 1972 in Bloomington, the son of Roy and Mary Ellen Groff Albertson. He worked in the oilfields and was a welder.

Surviving him is his mother, Mary Ellen Hipsher of Streator; his father, Roy Albertson and stepmother Gail of LeRoy.

Also surviving are three brothers, Roy (Dana) Albertson, Sumner; Chad (Erica), LeRoy; and Josh Lemke, Streator; two sisters, Heather C. Dale) Nicholson, Flora; and Dawn (Karl)  Muth, Farmer City. He also leaves a grandmother, Ora Windle of LeRoy; a step-grandfather, Bernard Windle of Paxton; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two grandfathers, one grandmother and a niece.
